Payment is due before work begins on your item. If it is a custom request, photos will be sent for approval prior to the order being shipped. If you decide to cancel an item, just let me know. I can convert the order into something someone else can use if given enough notice. I understand things come up and sometimes things we intend to purchase are no longer a priority or you find something better somewhere else. I harbor no hard feelings just respectfulness!

All orders will ship via USPS First Class mail or Parcel Post with Delivery Confirmation.
Advertised shipping dates by the USPS for first class mail is 3-5 days. This is not a guaranteed delivery date by the USPS. Especially during peak shipping periods such as Christmas. If you want to receive your order on a "gauranteed" date... you will need to pay for Express mail in which your oder will be delivered on a certain date and time.
If you want your order faster than First Class/Parcel Post Shipping, let me know and I will create a custom listing for you with correct shipping charges.

Most orders will ship Monday/Tuesday/Saturday with onsie twosie going out on other days. At the time order is placed, I will let you know when to expect your order to ship.
I stand behind my customers 100%. If you are not completely satisfied with your order, then I shouldn't keep your money. Refunds and Exchanges need to be pre-coordinated so that I know the item(s) are being returned, delivery confirmation is required on return orders. Orders need to be returned via First Class/Parcel Post mail unless you want to pay for priority return. Return shipping is at the customer expense.
Since 2008, I have only had 2 returns. I understand that as business grows, I won't be able to please everyone but I sure try my darndest to get your order right for you. I work very hard prior to shipping your order to ensure you get what you want so it is rare I get a return.
Orders need to be returned in the same condition in which they were sent to you for re-sell. Your money will be refunded once I receive the return or if you just want an exchange, I will have the new item ready to send back to you. If the item is not returned to me in "new" condition (ie... it has been washed, worn, dirty, etc.) then a refund will be denied as I cannot sell the item to someone else.
There are ZERO refunds on crochet patterns.
There will be a $5 charge (per item) for rush orders. A rush order is defined as something that is needed within 3-5 days of the order being placed that requires me to drop what I am doing to complete on time. I get these types of orders rarely but I do get them once in awhile. Expedited shipping charges may be required based on need-by date and shipping times.
If my customer backlog is less than the time I need to finish your order, the rush fee will not apply.
I have a full time job. I am usually away from my crochet hooks from 6am - 6pm Monday - Friday.
My new hours for working customer orders are as follows:

Wednesday - off
Thursday - 6pm - 10pm

Saturday - 9am - 2pm for shipping by 3pm

All orders will be pre-paid before work will begin. If an order is cancelled after work has begun, the cost of the yarn will be deducted from the purchase price.
All customers are welcome to add their name to my waitlist at any time to reserve a place in line but work will not begin on your order until payment is received. I will e-mail you when your name comes up. Once payment is received, you will be moved up to the bottom of my "pre-paid" order list. If I get to you and you are not ready to pay, you will be skipped but you will not lose your place in line. I will keep coming back to you for your order. If after the 3rd time I ask if you are ready and you still say no, you will be moved to the bottom of the list and/or your order cancelled.
If you have been a fan for awhile, you know that I LOVE to do charity work. If you need something for a charity fundraiser, I need to know ASAP. Since charity orders are not "Paid Orders" they do get worked last. With my changes to my "Business Hours" I am freeing up some time to do more stuff like this but if you have a charity request, it needs to be made as far in advance as possible so that I can try to accommodate as best I can. Charity donations are made to registered 501 organizations only for tax reasons.
I am looking for some additional photographers to exchange props for photos. I require 5 modeled photos of each prop that is sent. I have a large growing list of things I need to make and get modeled photos of. If you are a photographer and would like to participate in this program, please feel free to contact me. Photographer orders also get worked last (hence the Tuesday/Wednesday time ;-) ) unless you are a paid order. I do offer discounts on paid photographer orders as well so contact me for details.
Home / Online Parties
I would like to start doing home / catalog parties! This is a great way for the hostess to receive a discount and / or free items on their own order. I am still trying to work out the details of this but basically you would send people to my store (I will give you a code to use at checkout) for a specified period of time. 1 - 2 weeks typically. Once all orders have been placed, the host/hostess of the party will receive a percentage of all the sales towards their own purchase. If this is something you would like to do, let me know and you can be a guinea pig for me and we can tweek it until it works well! The estimated shipping time for home parties will depend on how many orders are placed, how many customers I already have in queue etc. This can be better predicted at the close of the party. The shoppers are not restricted to what I have in the shop. Special requests are always welcome as that is how I grow my portfolio/inventory.

Gift wrapping and packaging
All items are wrapped in tissue paper with a bow. If you want additional gift wrapping, please let me know and I will add a charge to your order for the supplies needed to wrap your gift for you.
Most items are machine was warm gentle cycle and tumble dry low delicate setting. There are times when different yarn or materials are used that deviate from the norm. Care instructions are included with each order I ship.
